Our Journey
A History of Healing
Founded in Yaoundé
Berson Mental Health Services opens its first practice in Yaoundé, Centre Region, offering individual and family therapy.
MHPSS Expansion
We launch our first humanitarian mental health response following flooding in the Littoral Region, establishing our MHPSS field team.
Bamenda Office Opens
A second office opens in Bamenda, Northwest Region, extending our reach to communities in the Anglophone areas of Cameroon.
Crisis Response in the NW & SW
Our team deploys to support communities affected by the Anglophone crisis, providing trauma counseling and psychosocial support.
First Annual Conference
We host our inaugural mental health conference in Yaoundé, bringing together over 200 practitioners, researchers, and policymakers.
International Partnerships
Berson formalizes partnerships with organizations in Latin America and the United States, expanding our global reach and impact.

Dr. Jerry Berson
Founder & Clinical Director
A licensed psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience in clinical practice, humanitarian mental health, and community-based interventions across Cameroon and Central Africa.
Dr. Amina Fouda
Senior Psychotherapist
Specializing in trauma-focused CBT and women's mental health, Dr. Fouda leads our individual therapy programs and clinical supervision services in Yaoundé.
Mr. Pascal Nkemdirim
MHPSS Field Coordinator
With a background in social work and humanitarian response, Pascal coordinates our field deployments and community healing programs in the Northwest Region.
Dr. Grace Mbeki
Research & Training Lead
Dr. Mbeki oversees our professional development seminars, practitioner training programs, and partnerships with academic institutions across Africa.
